KMG. Kara Marie Gilbert. That’s ME.

Born and raised by wonderful and wild parents in SE PDX where you call the house of the blazers the Moda Center and to me it will forever be the Rose Garden.

Born halfway between winter and spring under the Aquarian sun- I brought in the noise AND the funk.

I love creative spaces, new faces and assuring people are having a good time.

I love being intimate in nature, watching things grow - BOTH the beautiful human experience, as well as a flower from seed to harvest, garlic in July, and parsley in my teeth.

Sport documentaries are my secret kink and if I had all the money in the world I would probably own every pair of retro Jordan color ways available.

Teaching and working with others brings me life and I am consistently thinking about the connection between designing a farm and designing a textile forever being the same.

I’ve fallen in love with a plant called indigo that makes our textiles blue (and the existential crisis that is existing as a human on this planet in its current state) and it makes me want to connect and grow personally and as a collective daily- so I do a lot of dyeing about it.

I’m here for the wax on and the wax off, where there’s the hip and the hop, the long piano solos in a jazz cut, a clean blazer and a freshly weeded farm. I am in love with birds flying into dusk to meet the night sky and the magical moments when bees are waking in the morning dew.

I imagine a world where humans are authentic and we have dismantled an over curated life, because it’s a damn bore and plain corny.

I love YOU- but am obsessed with my two babies, baby daddy, my cat and living on Sauvie Island.
